Delivery, start to finish: where we send, what each stage costs you in time and money, and what to do when a parcel misbehaves.

Countries we serve

Emily Dublin delivers within Ireland. No other destinations are available at the moment.

The daily cut-off

Our cut-off is 18:00 (IST) Irish Standard Time – Dublin. Anything ordered after it counts as arriving the following working day, and processing begins from there.

Timings in one place

  • Processing: 1 to 2 business days
  • Transit: 8 to 12 business days
  • Total estimated delivery: 9 to 14 business days
  • Cut-off: 18:00 (IST) Irish Standard Time – Dublin

Business days run Monday to Friday and exclude bank holidays. These are honest estimates rather than guarantees: the moment a parcel passes to the carrier, its pace stops being ours to set. Estimates do not limit your rights if delivery runs late.

Getting your order ready

Each order is picked, checked and packed by hand, which takes one to two working days. Weekend and bank holiday orders start on the next working day.

Sale periods and the weeks before Christmas stretch that a little. Where a specific order looks like being meaningfully late, we email you instead of leaving you to guess from the tracking page.

What delivery costs

Standard tracked delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend. What you see on the product page is what you pay; nothing new appears on the final screen of checkout.

If you would rather your order jumped the dispatch queue and travelled insured, the optional Priority & Insured Shipping upgrade costs €2.95. One charge per order, not per item, shown to you before payment. It is not reimbursed on a return, because the service is performed at dispatch.

Prices on this store are in euro (EUR), inclusive of VAT and other mandatory charges where they apply.

Who delivers

Deliveries in Ireland are carried by An Post. The carrier handling your particular order is named in the dispatch email together with the tracking reference.

Tracking

A tracking reference is emailed to you the moment the parcel leaves. Follow it whenever you like on our order tracking page.

The first scan can take up to 48 hours to register. A blank tracking page on day one is ordinary and means nothing is wrong.

Addresses we cannot use

PO Boxes, military addresses of the APO, FPO or DPO kind, and restricted-access locations are all outside what we can deliver to. Give us a street address where the parcel can be handed to a person.

Customs, VAT and import charges

Some orders are dispatched from a fulfilment centre outside the European Union. Where that happens, customs duty, import VAT or clearance fees may be charged as the parcel enters the country. Those amounts sit outside the checkout price, are fixed by the customs authority and the carrier, and never come to us. Worth checking what applies to you before ordering.

When delivery fails

Parcels that cannot be delivered usually travel back to the sender. We contact you, confirm the address and send it out again. A second dispatch can carry a cost, which we always raise with you before doing anything.

Please check the name and address before completing an order. Once a parcel is with An Post we cannot redirect it. Spot an error quickly and tell us, and we will try to catch it before dispatch. Delays caused purely by a wrong or incomplete address are not our responsibility, which takes nothing away from your mandatory consumer rights.

Lost or damaged in transit

Email support@emily-dublin.com or use the contact form. We open a case with the carrier and resolve it with a replacement or a refund. The mechanics are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Things that slow parcels down

Peak demand, bank holidays, carrier backlogs, severe weather, customs clearance, or an address that needs verifying. Where any of these affect your order, we tell you as soon as we have something useful to say.

Where delivery is late, your legal rights remain: you may require delivery, set a reasonable additional period, and end the contract with reimbursement where the conditions are met.

Changes to this page

We revise it as our operations and the requirements of the platforms we advertise on change. The date at the top always shows the current version.
